Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site

The Lighthouse is open to the public, weather permitting.
LIGHTHOUSE DAILY 9a.m.-6p.m. 
VISITOR CENTER 9a.m.-5 p.m. Monday – Friday. 9a.m-12p.m. & 2p.m.-5p.m. Saturday & Sunday. 
Last ticket sold 30 minutes before Lighthouse closing. Tickets may be purchased at the Lighthouse or the Keeper’s Cottage. Credit or debit card only. (Hours of operation are subject to change. You are encouraged to call the Visitors Center at 956-943-2262).

Tours of the Lighthouse are self-guided.

Ticket prices are $5.00 (adults); $4.00 (seniors 55+); $3.00 (children* under 5.)
Tickets may be purchased at the Lighthouse or the Visitors Center. All ticket sales are final. 

The Park at the Lighthouse is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Lighthouse Tour Rules

  1. No food, drink or chewing gum.
  2. No backpacks or bags.
  3. No pencils, pens, markers or crayons or any other writing instruments.

The Port Isabel Lighthouse is operated by the City of Port Isabel. The Port Isabel Historical Lighthouse is a Texas Historical Commission State Historic Site.

The Keeper’s Cottage is downtown Port Isabel, next to the historic Port Isabel Lighthouse. It houses the Visitor Center & Chamber of Commerce.
