Mayor Joe E. Vega, Port Isabel City Commissioners and the Port Isabel Public Works Department invite all citizens to participate in the 2nd Annual City-Wide Clean Up on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Red River Waste Management Corporation will donate six roll offs which will be placed around the City of Port Isabel for residents to use to dispose of debris and garbage. This is a good time to remove all unwanted debris, appliances, mattresses, etc.
The following items will not be accepted in the roll offs – toxins, batteries, tires, chemicals, paint and antifreeze.
All Freon must be removed professionally and tagged from air conditioners, freezers and refrigerators before disposing.
Port Isabel Public Works will be on hand to assist with the City-Wide Clean Up.
The roll off locations are as follows:
the corner of Yturria and Madison next to Washington Park;
Michigan Ave. (Laguna Heights annex);
between Second and Illinois next to the Old Walmart location;
Polk Street and Gomez;
Adams and Marina Drive; and
Port Rd and Woody Lane.
