| The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts to restore reading to the center of American culture. The Museums of Port Isabel are partnering with UTBrownsville for promoting this event in Port Isabel with a reading by the Port Isabel Library at 7p on the grounds of Lighthouse Square. Complimentary copies of the book will be given to each family and/or individual. At 8p, the Museums of Port Isabel and the Lighthouse Establishment Cinema will screen "To Kill A Mockingbird" projected on the side of the Lighthouse. Open to the public. FREE.
