City of Port Isabel to Offer Shelter during Cold Spell

The National Weather Service is forecasting very cold temperatures across Cameron County on Wednesday night & Thursday night with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 30s. The City of Port Isabel is offering shelter at the Port Isabel Judge Eliseo "Cheo" B. Vega (Courtroom) 110 Hickman St. starting on Wednesday, December 7, & Thursday, December 8, at 6 p.m. for those needing a warm place to stay. Those who will partake in this offer will need to bring the following: ~Blankets, pillows, sleeping bags. ~Food -Non perishable food including cold cuts, chips, can goods.
