The CITY of PORT ISABEL encourages residents and visitors to take all the necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy!

EVENTS & FESTIVALS: The following events have been cancelled until further notice: Antique & Flea Market, Lighthouse Easter Egg Hunt, Queen Isabella Market Day, Lighthouse Establishment Cinema & Pachanga in the Park.

CITY PARKS: Open to the public.

LIGHTHOUSE & VISITORS CENTER [OPEN]: The historic Port Isabel Lighthouse has reopened to the public with restrictions in place. Weather permitting, hours of operation will be Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last ticket sold at 3:30 p.m. Tickets may only be purchased through at the Keeper’s Cottage Visitors Center with a credit or debit card.

Tours of the Lighthouse will be self-guided, will be limited to 15 minutes. Groups no larger than 6 persons may tour at one time. Masks required. Hand sanitizer will be available at the Lighthouse and all ticket holders are advised to sanitize their hands before and after the tour.

The park at the Lighthouse is open to the public. The Keeper’s Cottage Visitors Center/Chamber of Commerce is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 The Port Isabel Historical Lighthouse is a Texas Historical Commission State Historic Site.

Ticket prices are $5.00 (adults); $4.00 (seniors 55+); $3.00 (children* under 5.) For more information call the Port Isabel Visitors Center at 956-943-2262.

MUSEUMS: The Museums of Port Isabel [Treasures of the Gulf & Port Isabel Historical Museum] are temporarily closed.

LIBRARY: The Port Isabel Public Library is temporarily closed.

CITY HALL: The lobby of City Hall is closed. Please ring doorbell for assistance or call 956/943-2682. City Hall, 305 E. Maxan St.

RECYCLING: Recycling is temporarily closed.
