HOW YOU CAN HELP OUR TROOPS:
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to support out troops deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. There are many items that are unavailable to our troops or in short supply. Some of these items are needed because of the extreme climate conditions. Other items are needed to let our troops know that the sacrifice they are making is appreciated. Young men and women are giving up their freedom and lives so we can retain ours. The least we can do is to let them know that we are thinking about them and to make sure they have something from their homeland for holidays.

Items for our troops can be dropped off at the Port Isabel Public Library, Public Library Reading Room and the Port Isabel City Hall. The Friends of the Library have donated money to send the packages overseas to the troops. The Coastal Mailbox in Port Isabel has donated the bubble wrap, packaging tape and its time packaging boxes for shipment. We need your support to make this operation successful. Please help us send packages & letters from the United States, so out troops can connect with their homeland.

DEADLINE: Boxes have to be mailed by December 11, 2009
